Swimming with Elephants Publications, LLC (SwEP) is an independent, not for profit press focusing on supporting the working poet and non-profit organizations. Based in Albuquerque, NM, we work within our local community along with international authors and artists to create a plethora of publications which promote poets of a variety of genres and styles. We also attempt to bring awareness to various social issues and public concerns through topical anthologies.

Swimming with Elephants Publications, LLC hosts a yearly Chapbook Open Call to find new voices. Our Open Call for Chapbooks runs between October and December of each year. Our next Chapbook Open Call will be in October 2020.
We regularly publish our Weekly Write on our website. An open call for submissions for the 2020 Weekly Writes and Anthology began in October 2019 and will close on February 1, 2020. Click here to see our weekly features of poetry and short prose.
